March means it’s time for spring cleaning. And there’s no better way to clean (and maintain) your body than with fresh fruits and vegetables.

Juicing is an easy, convenient, and tasty way to ensure you get the vitamins your body needs and wants.

Getting started with juicing can feel daunting to many, especially considering the passion with which many sites advocate “the right way” to do it. We believe that consuming more fresh fruits and vegetables, especially greens, is a win regardless.

To that end, here are five easy and delicious juice recipes you can make at home. Unless otherwise instructed, simply combine with your juicer or food processor.

This is a great option for beginning juicers who want to start adding veggies to their juice, but aren’t yet ready for spinach or kale. The high water content of the apple and cucumber also make this an excellent way to stay cool and hydrated as you acclimate to the warming weather.

  • 1 Fuji apple
  • 1 cucumber
  • ½ inch ginger root
  • 1 small handful mint

You’re ready to start juicing with greens, and this is the way to do it. The combination of pear, apple, and pineapple give this green juice a light, sweet flavor that’s perfect for breakfast.

  • 1 large pear
  • 1 apple
  • 1 cup pineapple, cubed
  • 4 large stalks kale
  • 1 cucumber

According to the website, this is a favorite of Paula Abdul. While we can’t verify that fact, we can “Straight Up” tell you this tasty juice packs a healthy punch. It’s also an easy way to get more purple in your diet.

  • 1/2 small daikon radish
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 2 green apples

Here’s another excellent option for breakfast. The banana addition gives some extra complex carbohydrates to help jump-start your day.

  • ¼ of a fresh pineapple, skin and core removed, and cut into 1″ strips
  • 4 kale leaves
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled

Juice the pineapple and the kale as normal. Switch your juicer strainer to the coarse one, and then juice the banana.

Pomegranate Green

This recipe is a celebration of your graduation into full-blown juicing. Between the sweetness of the apple and grapes, and the tartness of the pomegranate, you might be floored at how rich in vitamins this juice actually is.

  • 1 medium apple
  • 4 stalks celery
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 cups grapes
  • 1 cup pomegranate “seeds”
  • 4 cups spinach

In addition to being a delicious way to get your servings of fruits and vegetables, juicing is an excellent method for detoxing your body.
